From temporary worker to team leader

Developing yourself as a temporary worker, what are the possibilities? Unfortunately, it is still too often thought that, as a temporary worker, you cannot develop yourself further within your job and there are no opportunities to grow at your client. The Flexwinkel would like to demonstrate that this is definitely not the case! We encourage our temps to develop further and want to guide our temps in this. One way we do this is by offering courses such as forklift, reach truck, EPT, Basic Air Freight Officer etc. to ensure you have the right certificates.

At The Flex Shop, you can also progress from temporary worker to team leader. A good example of this is Dominique. Dominique started as a temporary worker in the position of warehouse assistant and is now a team leader within the same company. We put some questions to him:

Dominique, you started at your current employer as a temporary worker through The Flex Shop. What position did you start in?
I started through The Flex Shop at my current employer as a Warehouse Assistant.

How did you experience that and what was your impression about The Flex Shop?
I have always been well served and supported by The Flexwinkel!

How was the move to team leader?
That was very pleasant. The Flexwinkel also guided me well in that process.

At the moment, you also supervise temporary workers from The Flexwinkel, among others, how do you experience that?
As a challenging and inspiring experience. No person is the same so each has their own use case and it is not always easy. Then when you get a person inspired and motivated in the workplace it is very satisfying!

You are the example of how to advance, from temp to team leader, do you have any tips for temps who also have this desire?
Some tips I want to give people are; stay close to yourself, motivate yourself to do your best and honesty is the best policy.
